Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage May Still Get This Exciting Cameo

Even though The Big Bang Theory fans have already been proven wrong about the show's spinoff by the explosive success of Young Sheldon, there are still some people who are unsure if the show needs another spinoff. However, the main reason for doubt has nothing to do with the main characters.

Though everyone loves Montana Jordan as Georgie Cooper, and the idea of a spinoff focusing on his journey to build his tire empire has been cultivated by fans for years, people don't think the spinoff will be successful without the entire Cooper family in it. While it has been previously reported that only Mandy's parents will appear, that can easily be changed.

Will Missy Appear in the New Young Sheldon Spinoff?

So far, the list of actors who will definitely appear in Georgie and Mandy 's first marriage isn't long. Of course, Montana Jordan and Emily Osment will return as Georgie and Mandy, as well as Mandy's on-screen parents, Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones. All other cast members are being kept under wraps for now.

The biggest concern fans have about the upcoming spinoff is that the dynamic will be off without the Cooper family. Just as Young Sheldon wasn't as popular because of Sheldon himself, fans expect the same to happen with Georgie and Mandy's first marriage. And if they were inclined to believe that none of the stars would return, the odds are now in their favor.

According to fan-favorite Raegan Revord, who played Missy Cooper for 7 seasons of the show, she won't be returning as a series regular as she is interested in pursuing other career opportunities. That doesn't mean she can't make a brief cameo when her older brother needs her most.

“I am so excited to see where the show goes. But, who knows? I loved playing Missy for the past seven years, but I also want to go and do other things as well. So, it’s complicated. We’ll see!” the actress said to Entertainment Tonight.

While there may not be an opportunity for Revord to return to the universe sooner rather than later, such a response gives fans a glimmer of hope that at least some of the Coopers will be reunited.
