General Hospital Welcomes One Life to Live’s Blair in an Underwhelming Twist

General Hospital ’s 60th anniversary that the series celebrates all throughout 2023 is a huge deal for daytime television.

As there are only 4 soaps left running on major TV networks, every milestone like this one is highly appreciated and looks like a promise to keep the genre loved by so many alive.

However, what General Hospital fans don’t understand is why the celebration takes away from the original series’ plot.

While the comebacks of several vets of the show are usually well-explained and feel right because of significance these characters had in the past, guest appearances of other soaps’ characters feel a little out of place.

With fans struggling to wait from one week to another to catch their favorites, simply because there are too many people involved to have enough screen time for them all, it’s unclear why they continue to invite more people. Maybe that is part of the reason why the news of Kassie DePaiva’s Blair Cramer comeback to Port Charles wasn’t taken that well.

In fact, after TVLine’s major reveal of Blair’s involvement in an ongoing storyline, fans seem to be completely turned off by the idea. Blair, originated back in 1991 in the series One Life to Live, is going to hit the screens of General Hospital viewers as the mysterious third ex-wife of Martin Grey.

While General Hospital fans are not convinced that Blair Cramer is the woman that would fit in the role of Martin’s ex-wife, One Life to Live fans are not trusting General Hospital to handle their favorite character right.

Unfortunately, the series does have a history of ruining the legacy of OLTL’s characters, after killing Cole Thornhart and little Hope in a horrible accident. Given that General Hospital is working with temporary writers now that the WGA strike is still in place in Los Angeles, fans wonder whether they may mess Blair’s story up as well.
