There's nothing in the world that lasts longer than a women's fight on a soap opera.

General Hospital is a long-running soap that obediently lives by all the rules of the genre.

It has everything a great soap opera should be full of: overdramatic moments like betrayal, infidelity, cruelty, etc. Lots of romance, also usually with the prefix "over."

And lots of unexpected plot twists that are usually intriguing enough to keep fans on the hook from episode to episode.

But there is one thing that fans of a show can easily live without. In the case of General Hospital, it is the non-stop fights between its two main female characters, Nina and Carly.

Fans say that their problems could have been resolved seasons ago, but the writers still keep pushing that storyline on the viewers instead of developing new, more interesting and fulfilling ones.

"Carly and Nina just fight all the time without that same clever dialogue. It's like a broken record now, just repeating the same s**t over and over," Redditor tcrhs said. The fans don't even care who wins any of their fights, they say that "watching two middle-aged women bicker for years is no longer entertaining."

The audience is tired of their fights mainly because they are unreasonable. They are both wrong all the time, and there is no way they are going to come to their senses anytime soon.

Still, in a recent episode, one character tried to reason with them. It was Ava, and her attempt was fruitless. Carly turned down the "helpful advice" Ava tried to give her.

And continued her fight with Nina – this time, over the wedding of Willow and Michael.

They just kept blaming each other for everything that went wrong in their lives over and over again, dragging all the past moments with Willow and Sonny. How very entertaining.

Well, poor writing for both characters is working exactly as it should.

Fans are already starting to hate Carly and Nina, and maybe the moment when they ask the showrunners to kill off those two drama queens is not as far away as we think.
