General Hospital Just Launched Its Most Disturbing Couple Yet, But I’m Living for the Drama
The soap is finally soaping.
For the past several years, General Hospital fans have been begging the writers to go all out and bring back the drama that has long been missing from the show. People were hungry for more backstabbing, betrayal, illicit affairs and raunchy gossip. No one, including me, expected this to happen in 2024, but General Hospital finally listened.
Earlier this year, I wondered where Drew's hatred for Nina would lead. It was obvious to me that the hatred would eventually lead to sexual tension. However, there was also the possibility that he would deliberately hurt Nina by using her daughter, Willow. Little did I know that both theories could end up being correct.
Are Willow and Drew Going to Get Together?
Of course, it's hard to tell right now if Drew and Willow's affair will be anything more than that – an affair – but I wouldn't put it past this man to try and use it for his own agenda. Manipulating both mother and daughter is the ultimate power move, and Drew is definitely not the type to turn down power.
However, Drew's motives and intentions with both women are the least interesting part of this triangle, in my opinion.
General Hospital tried very hard to make its viewers forget that Willow was already a cheater and paint her as a living saint, which only made her character more boring. Now that the mask has fallen, the new Willow could be the biggest source of drama Port Charles has seen in years, and I am ready to see more.
It's safe to say that all the progress she's made with Nina will go out the window when she finds out about her daughter's affair. It will be even more fun to see Michael's reaction to the news. Given his temper, I'd advise Drew to find a safe place to hide if he wants to stay alive. With just one chaotic night, General Hospital has set up months of drama.
Of course, none of this makes Drew and Willow's couple any less troubling, considering not only their age difference, but also his position of power. But if that's what it takes to create a storyline gripping enough to keep General Hospital viewers glued to their screens, I'll take it, no questions asked.
