It’s time to come up with new theories.

Summary:

  • General Hospital is an ABC soap opera that has been on the air for more than 60 years, since 1963.
  • It was recently announced that Jason Morgan, portrayed by Steve Burton, will return to the screens on March 4.
  • Fans of the show believe that Jason has been brought back as Sonny's mysterious shooter, but the actor denies the rumors.

There is no limit to absurdity when it comes to soaps, and fans of the genre are happy to embrace it as long as it makes for entertaining television.

For viewers of General Hospital in particular, embracing the chaos means accepting the character who was killed off, then brought back from the dead, then killed off again, and then, you guessed it, resurrected for the second time.

As people welcome Steve Burton and his character, Jason Morgan, back from the dead, they already have their theories about what unfinished business brings him back to Port Charles. Two of the most popular ideas: a missed shot at Sonny and a long-lost son.

However, for the first time in years, General Hospital's writing may be less predictable than usual, as the actor turns around to deny every suggestion.

When Will Jason Be Back To General Hospital?

As soon as it was announced that Jason Morgan would be returning to Port Charles on March 4, social media was flooded with predictions about how his story would unfold. However, fans may be far from the truth, as his character is proving to be far more unpredictable.

Talking to his co-host on The Daily Drama Podcast, Bradford Anderson, Steve Burton mentioned that he's aware of all the theories and speculations that General Hospital fans have come up with regarding the news of his return. However, according to the actor, none of them are correct, so viewers might as well keep guessing.

“I love all the speculation. [The writers have] been laying some breadcrumbs, and I know what the majority of people think, and it ain’t that,” he teased.

So far, two of the most popular theories about Jason have him being both Sonny's mysterious shooter and Dex's real father. The combination of the two would likely put him at the top of Sonny's enemies list and create a new conflict. As soapy as that would be, viewers were split on whether or not they liked this new dynamic.
