General Hospital Fans Are Joining Team Esme, Waiting For Bloodshed
It’s time to go full unhinged mode.
Summary:
- General Hospital is an ABC soap opera that has been on the air since 1963.
- One of the the most prominent active villains of the show today is Esme Prince, who have recently regained her memories.
- Thanks to the boring storyline of Spencer and Trina, the viewers start to root for Esme and wait for her next strike.
If there's one thing soap operas are great at, it's portraying the craziest villains. When the actors behind the characters give their all to embody their insane natures, viewers can do nothing but watch their evil plans unfold as the blood freezes in their veins.
From blowing up cars to holding people captive, from switching babies to committing terrorist acts, nothing is impossible in the world of soap in general and General Hospital in particular.
Now that it's been almost too long since viewers last gasped in shock, they're starting to take bets on where the next blow will come from.
And all arrows are pointing at Esme, who just regained the memory of all her past crimes and lost her baby. Is there a better combination to take the road to vengeance?
What Will Esme Do to Spencer and Trina?
Throughout her life, Esme has been abandoned by just about everyone around her. Of course, now that she's an adult, it's hardly appropriate to blame the consequences of her actions on anyone but herself.
However, like any villain, she has a hefty origin story that she's cursed to carry on her shoulders.
If there's one thing that Esme's case of amnesia has really shown, it's that when surrounded by the right people and under the right circumstances, she's capable of being a really decent person who has her life together.
But now that the mask of amnesia is off, and all the horrors of the past are back in her head, it's only a matter of time before she explodes.
Spencer taking baby Ace from her may have been just the final straw that Esme's cruel plan needed to come to life. Not only was he one of the people who hurt her in the past by leaving her for Trina, but he continued to betray her in the present, so he's the frontrunner for revenge.
Second would be Trina herself. Defending Spencer's actions, even though she preached a lot about the importance of family, is likely to be the cruel joke on her if Esme stops holding back. Getting her baby back is the top priority, but if General Hospital wants to make the show exciting again, it will get a lot worse in the future.
While no one in their right mind would support this violence in real life, it's one of the key elements that makes soaps so genuinely exciting to watch. Besides, since Esme is portrayed by such a great actress as Avery Kristen Pohl, it would have been a real mistake to limit her to a range of sadness.
If you want to see what Esme will do now and how she will avenge her son, you can tune in to ABC Monday through Friday to not miss another episode of General Hospital.
