Tyrion is objectively one of the smartest characters in Game of Thrones, and he's proven his intelligence multiple times, so it's only fair to ask: what was he thinking in this scene?

While the show's finale was generally scuffed, the fact that Bran Stark — or the Three-Eyed Raven, according to the Evil Ending theory — was elected the new King of Westeros is borderline the most bothering aspect of it, admittedly sharing the first place for stupidity with The Night King's elimination.

And to think that it was suggested by Tyrion Lannister… It only gets worse when you recall what he said finishing his speech: "Who has a better story than Bran the Broken?"

He was really asking that while there was an entire Jon Snow still there, alive and well?

Jon Snow, who was raised as Lord Stark's bastard in Winterfell, willingly joined The Night's Watch, became its Lord Commander, made friends with the Free Folk, fought and killed the White Walkers, and even died for the Watch.

That Jon Snow who was brought back to life by R'hllor's grace, managed to retake the North and become King in the North, made an alliance with Queen Daenerys Targaryen, and defended Winterfell against the Night King's army.

The bastard who turned out to be the last male Targaryen and the true heir to the Iron Throne; the man who gave up this knowledge to stay true to his beloved Queen, helped her retake King's Landing, and later had to sacrifice her to save Westeros.

That man was literally still there, in King's Landing. How could someone as sharp as Tyrion even consider Bran Stark's story to be the most outstanding of them all?

This here meme on the biggest Game of Thrones subreddit summed it up perfectly:

Poor jon lol

Jon Snow — or rather, Aegon Targaryen — was the heir to the Iron Throne, a war hero, and definitely the guy for the job opening if the new King was to be determined by how interesting or fascinating his story was.

Tyrion completely overlooked all of this and rushed to declare that Bran's boring storyline was the best.
