Many fans were disappointed with the way the main series of the 21st century ended.

They refused to accept plot twists, asked the writers a lot of questions, and even wrote petitions demanding that the eighth season be reshot. But now it's been a long time since the show ended, and viewers are trying to find some positives in the finale.

And the only episode that most fans liked was A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (8x2), which was about preparing for an epic battle against the Night King and his army of the dead.

It was a rare moment of respite in a series known for its constant bloodshed and political intrigue. The characters had a chance to reflect on their journeys, have a heart-to-heart and face their fears.

One of the highlights of the episode was Brienne of Tarth being knighted by Jaime Lannister. It was a welcome recognition of her skill, bravery, and unwavering loyalty.

Not all fans liked the scene, however, as the show became too much of a cheesy fairy tale, and the audience went along with it. However, viewers still appreciate this small detail because it seems logical in the course of the story.

Another memorable scene was the gathering around the fireplace as the characters told stories, sang songs, and prepared for battle.

In this moment, we saw the vulnerability of these hardened warriors who realize that death is inevitable. The camaraderie and shared humanity was reminiscent of earlier seasons when character interaction was at the forefront of the show.

The episode also explored the complicated relationships between various characters, such as Arya and Gendry. Their intimate scene was a testament to the show's ability to portray complex emotions amidst the chaos of war. It was a reminder that even in the face of impending doom, love and connection still have a place in this brutal world.

But perhaps the most significant moment for fans was when Podrick Payne signed Jenny of Oldstones. The song was a great way to end the episode leading up to The Long Night.

However, some fans have pointed out that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms did a great job when the audience thought that many of the main heroes were going to die. However, the show only lost supporting characters, albeit beloved ones.
