No matter how short-lived, these power duos still have GoT fans in their grasp.

Summary:

  • Game of Thrones had some amazing dynamic duos of characters who complimented each other and amused fans greatly.
  • Bronn’s relationships with both the Lannister brothers were remarkable, highlighting different parts of his character.
  • Arya Stark was always younger than her partners, but her quick wits and sharp tongue provided a plethora of memorable moments.

For all its unhinged brutality, Game of Thrones also featured brilliant banter and captivating character dynamics that either kept fans on the edges of their seats or had them laughing their bellies off. Almost five years after the show’s finale, fans still remember these duos with love and indulge in rewatching their scenes together.

These two characters alone were responsible for borderline half of them!

Bronn Was A Crooked Delight No Matter His Lannister Partner

Jagged and cynical, Bronn the Sellsword — or, as he was known later, Bronn the Lord Paramount of the Reach — quickly became a fan favorite. Attracted by their notoriously vast treasuries, Bronn always stuck to the Lannisters, and the two brothers, Jaime and Tyrion, both worked incredibly well when paired with the merc.

Bronn’s dynamic with Tyrion Lannister was that full of banter and quips at each other and the world. The bookworm sinner Tyrion and the lowly mercenary found the common ground in their, though different, equally sharp tongues; and with Jaime, Bronn took on the role of the insufferable older brother who acts tough and bullies you but won’t let anyone upset you. Bronn complimented both the Lannisters perfectly!

Arya Stark’s Snarky Attitude Endeared Those Around Her

Starting the series as a little girl, Arya Stark was already sharp and witty, and as she grew up, she became even more of a menace. Her quick mind and tongue made her a great dynamic partner for many characters, including the Hound, Syrio Forel, Jon Snow, Ned Stark, and even Tywin Lannister, the patriarch of the enemy House.

With Syrio and Ned, Arya proved herself capable and worthy despite her young age, and her friendship with her (presumably, at that point) older brother Jon was another perfect example of a brother-sister relationship, granted that Jon was much kinder to her than Bronn was to Jaime. However, it’s Arya’s interactions with the Hound and Lord Tywin that really made her shine, showing both her wits and her teeth.
