No matter how many times you binged the iconic sitcom, it always has something up its sleeve to surprise you.

Friends has plenty of Easter eggs even for those who claim they already know the legendary series by heart. After all, the show keeps attracting new fans every year even though its final 236th episode aired in 2004.

For instance, the Friends fandom has recently rediscovered that one particular episode featured Matthew Perry 's real-life dad, John Bennett Perry. And no, he wasn't playing Chandler's father, even though that would've been an Easter egg to live for.

No, he plays Joshua's dad in season 4 episode 18, titled The One With Rachel's New Dress. In the episode, Rachel and her then-boo Joshua come by his parents' house to spend the evening, but surprise surprise: the parents have just returned from their holiday.

Rachel could not be more not ready for the encounter. She dons a sexy nightdress and seems all ready for a steamy night with her boyfriend... which Joshua's father surprisingly likes.

That entire "and you're gonna be wearing that" exchange is stuck in our heads forever, and if you watch closely, you'll see just how similar Matthew and his father look. Luckily, Chandler wasn't there to make the resemblance even more uncanny.

You can also see where Matthew gets his acting talents from, since John Bennett Perry boasts an impressive Hollywood portfolio, even though he is most widely-known as the sailor from the Old Spice commercials.

But if you thought Friends was the only show where John dropped by his son's workplace, you'd be wrong. In Scrubs, the two actually played a father-son duo, when Matthew's Murray Marks has to donate his kidney to his estranged father.

We love a good family dynamic!
