Brad Pitt is speeding toward his next big flick, and they even got the Top Gun: Maverick director and producer there. Things are getting real in the cockpit!

Tom Cruise famously saved the theaters from the pandemic’s devastating effect in 2022 with his iconic Top Gun: Maverick, making history yet another time. Today, there is no pandemic, and the theaters don’t need saving, but it looks like Brad Pitt is eager to repeat Cruise’s journey, regardless — except this time, down on the ground.

Brad Pitt is going full speed into his new biggest action movie, and so far, it’s looking pretty hot.

Brad Pitt’s Maverick Is an F1 Driver

Top Gun: Maverick was just notoriously brilliant and successful, so the logical conclusion would be to grab another huge A-lister and throw him into the action with the same production team to replicate Cruise’s success. It looks like that’s exactly what’s going on because Brad Pitt is now working on a new untitled F1 movie.

Here’s the thing — the F1 Untitled will be directed by Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski and produced by Maverick’s (and countless other great flicks’) Jerry Bruckheimer. That’s a recipe for a hit, especially with Brad Pitt leading the film as an experienced F1 driver in a bunch of high-adrenaline scenes and a wise mentor’s attitude.

Brad Pitt Is a Natural in the Cockpitt

While the upcoming movie still has no title, it already has two most important components of success: an amazing award-winning team and enormous ambition. Lead star Brad Pitt is already hard at work preparing for the role — and as you might have guessed, he needs to learn to drive F1 race cars really well for F1 Untitled.

“Brad’s been training in the cars. It’s an F1 body that Joe helped design with Mercedes over an F2 engine, which is a 200-mile-an-hour engine, and Brad’s learned how to drive it. The drivers who are training him say he’s a natural athlete, and he’s a great driver,” producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared with Collider.

It almost feels inevitable that Pitt’s F1 Untitled becomes a massive hit, and we’re quite hyped to watch this high-octane, action-packed, wild-speed movie. It sounds like we’re getting another Top Gun: Maverick but with race cars instead of planes.
