Given HBO's pedigree and a slew of iconic shows like "The Sopranos" and "The Wire," most fans hold the network and its producers in the highest regard, believing they can do no wrong and stand miles above other networks and streaming platforms.
Of course, last year's abominable "The Idol " challenged that belief a bit, but some fans were able to write that flop off as a lapse in judgment and still believe in HBO. But while the network may be one of the best out there, it has actually produced a number of bad shows over the years.

Even if you hate "The Idol" as much as possible, you still can't deny that this The Weeknd-led show was some kind of artistic statement, misguided but commendable for sticking to its ideals no matter what.
The shows on this list are nothing like "The Idol" - there's nothing even remotely original about them, they're bland and boring and feel like the entire marketing department tried to make them as popular as possible and failed miserably.
Mediocre shows are actually much more annoying than bad ones, because at least you can laugh at the worst of the worst, but the shows on this list will rob you of even that. Beware!
