The internet is full of pictures and fan videos of the actor as Batman, and frankly there’s no wonder why he is a popular choice for the role, as he is not a stranger to Batman. Ackles has previously voiced Jason Todd and played Batman in an animated movie.

However, it seems like fans have come up with a better idea for the role of Batman and it's Reacher star Alan Ritchson. The leading role in the hit series made the audience appreciate the actor’s talent even more, and the fans now think that this role is a perfect start for him to enter the DCU universe.

Now what’s more, it seems that the actor himself just loves the idea. In the BroBible’s Post Credit Podcast he mentioned that the fans’ interest in him as a new Batman makes him feel honored.

“The fact that people are interested in me playing Batman is a real honor and privilege. It’s one of the first characters I fell in love with as a child: I still remember the big, long pistol coming out of Joker ’s pants as he goes to shoot down the Batplane,” he said in the interview.

The fans are sure that the actor will be a perfect fit, even if they had some doubts before. And now that they hear the actor agreeing to take the part if offered, it all starts sounding like more than speculations.

“I was initially against it but then I saw a clip of his show “Reacher”. He looks like Bruce Wayne from the Batman Arkham games. I think he could portray a more upbeat (slightly comedic) Batman. Akin to Batman the Brave and the Bold. I think that would be a perfect contrast from the Matt Reeves Batman,” Redditor ArtemisStanAccount said.
