Fantasy Fans, Rejoice! 'Dungeons & Dragons' Movie Gets Title And Release Date
The legendary tabletop role-playing game is finally getting a movie adaptation, and thanks to new information from Paramount Pictures, fans are more excited than ever.
As announced at the D&D Direct event, the film will be called 'Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves', which may indicate that fans can expect something more intriguing and down-to-earth than the simple dragon fighting that we have come to expect from high-budget fantasy projects.
The film will star Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant and Ragé-Jean Page, and with a cast like that, Paramount is certainly placing a big bet on the first installment of a potential franchise. With the impending revival of 'Lord of the Rings' on Amazon, the competition in the fantasy field is sure to get pretty intense in the coming years.
Fans eagerly await the film's release, jokingly comparing the revealed title to other projects with a similar name.
Others suggest additional actors to add to the already star-studded cast of the film.
'Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' will hit theatres on March 3, 2023.
