Fans on Edge Over Brenda's Dirty Secret in Young Sheldon Season 6

Young Sheldon's Brenda has a big secret, and it looks like fans will have some hard time trying to figure out the truth now.
In season 6 episode 10, titled Pancake Sunday and Textbook Flirting, everyone is buzzing about her "secret boyfriend" — only to have the tea spilled to George by his wife Mary. George plays it cool (well, he tries his best to do so), and then immediately confronts Brenda on the issue.
Brenda, however, assures him he is not the secret boyfriend — something that visibly baffles him. While fans are scratching their heads over the revelation (which is not necessarily true because Brenda might have lied to him), they are trying to guess the identity of the potential "another guy in the picture."
However, many believe that Brenda bluffed, and George is, in fact, the secret boyfriend. Think about it: we know the man is married, and Brenda "is hiding him from everyone." George does fit into that description.
Still, some fans refuse to believe he is Brenda's dirty secret.
"It is obvious that there is an attraction between George and Brenda, but so far it is a platonic thing. I think they would have a nice love story if George wasn't married. They match," Redditor ExquisiteFrancesca said.
However, others are concerned about the mere fact that George decided to confront Brenda on the issue. If what they have is strictly platonic, then why even bother?
"Honestly, I am getting the feeling there could be something going on between George and Brenda that we are not getting to see. Why else would George think he's the "secret boyfriend"? It makes no sense, if all that had been happening was talking in the bar once about going home together," Redditor Sleepy_Oboist wondered.
The worst thing is that we have to wait for episode 11 to premiere and reveal the truth. Was Brenda bluffing? Is there a thing between her and George? And if there is, how do we wrap our heads around the fact that George does cheat on his wife?
