Fans Have Their Hopes Back For NCIS: Hawai’i Revival After CBS Recent Social Media Post
This time the network’s promo might be their biggest mistake to date.
It’s been a while since NCIS: Hawai’i was officially scrapped by CBS earlier this year, but a recent post published in one of the network’s social media accounts was quick to summon the canceled series’ fans once again, leaving them either excited about the spinoff’s potential return or rather furious about CBS’ audacity.
Sadly, the second option is more likely to be true in this case.
Several days ago, managers of NCIS’ official Instagram account ncisverse seemingly had an attempt to wish happy summer solstice to their followers, but things didn’t go according to plan.
A post with several pictures from the NCIS shows’ production set, with a few having NCIS: Hawai’i’s characters in them, was quick to garner everyone’s attention, but in a bad way.
Many fans were vocal about CBS’ complete indifference towards their viewers’ feelings that kinda got hurt by the post pretending that NCIS: Hawai’i was still there, even though there was no chance for it to come back anyway.
While some of them claimed that the network’s execs “woke up and chose violence,” others opted for promoting the already forgotten petition urging CBS to revive NCIS: Hawai’i.
Why Was NCIS: Hawai’i Canceled?
The show got canceled by CBS back in April leaving numerous fans heartbroken and outraged enough to start a whole new campaign calling the network out for planning to introduce new (and probably worthless) shows at another successful series’s expense.
The movement started by some proactive fans in social media didn’t have much of a progress and, what’s even more frustrating, didn’t do its trick even when NCIS: Hawai’i ended on a major cliffhanger that now has almost zero chances to ever be explained.
The reason why the NCIS account managers got to be that cruel with the audience remains unclear, though another mistake made by the network may have just brought yet another round of hatred that CBS will spend some time dealing with.
