If you were in a situation like this, how would you handle it?

Grey's Anatomy has given us plenty of unforgettable friendships, but fans defined the craziest, most up-and-down friendship on the show — the one between Dr. Meredith Grey and Dr. Miranda Bailey.

Meredith Grey and Miranda Bailey first crossed paths when they were newbie doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Back then, Bailey was all business, calling Meredith "the intern" and pushing her to prove herself.

She was tough, no doubt, but there were moments when we saw a flicker of genuine care and mentorship from Bailey, recognizing Meredith's talent.

No friendship is perfect, right? Meredith and Bailey had their fair share of clashes and disagreements. As they climbed the career ladder and took on more responsibilities, power struggles became the norm.

Bailey's need for control clashed with Meredith's free-spirited and unorthodox approach, leading to some epic arguments and even periods of not talking to each other.

Through all the ups and downs, Meredith and Bailey's friendship has stood the test of time. They've weathered storms that would have shattered most friendships. But not these two.

They always find their way back to each other. They're willing to put aside their differences for the greater good, whether it's fighting for patient care or supporting each other through personal crises.

Some fans think that Meredith contributed to this friendship more than Bailey. Meredith displays a remarkable level of forgiveness towards Bailey. Despite Bailey repeatedly crossing boundaries, Meredith consistently supports her.

Many people, If they were in Meredith's position, wouldn't maintain any connection beyond a professional relationship with someone who spoke to them in the same disrespectful manner as Bailey does to her.

Other fans also express that Bailey always harbored resentment or envy towards Richard for his caring treatment of Meredith, considering how he looked after her like a daughter.

During Meredith's medical license hearing, Bailey's anger towards Richard for helping Meredith get into the medical program at Seattle Grace was so intense that one could have assumed Richard had taken money from her based on Bailey's reaction.

So this friendship is truly a controversial one, but it does not mean it is not real. It's just complex.
