The real hero would be the one to make the multiverse trend end.

S.W.A.T has been on the screen for 6 seasons already, starting back in 2017.

It already exists in the same universe as the FX's The Shield series, as they share the same creator, but that seems to not be enough for writers.

Fans are very keen to believe S.W.A.T is next to joining the multiverse madness which slowly but surely takes on every piece of media.

And they have every right to think so, as something weird is happening with two characters: officers Zoe Powell and Alexis Cabrera.

While watching the last season's episodes, the audience noticed that the show keeps switching between two of them every episode, without showing both in the same room at the same time.

"I feel like I'm being gaslighted, cause until recently I thought Powell and Cabrera are the same person and for some reason they keep switching names," Redditor skbtwiz said to later find out they were not the only one with such issue.

Jokes aside, this creative decision just doesn't sit right with fans.

Although some point out very valid reasons for this to be happening, such as COVID filming restrictions, or the ability to raise the pay per episode for the actresses, it shouldn't be the reason to spoil viewers' experience.

Besides, Powell and Cabrera are not the only ones affected: fans pointed out that it's been a long time since all cast members shared a storyline in an episode.

At the very best this feels like a friendship fallout for most of the fanbase, as they don't get to see their favorites as often as they wanted.

Of course, there's still a hope for the change, but with season 6 heading toward the end, it fades away pretty fast. Tune in to CBS March 31, 2023 to not miss the next episode.
