Fallout Renewed for Season 2: Here's Everything You Need to Know
Dear Vault Dwellers, it is with great pleasure that we say this: we’re so back!
Summary:
- The Fallout TV show quickly became Prime Video ’s third most-watched series ever, marking its success.
- Barely a week after Season 1’s premiere, Fallout has already been renewed for Season 2.
- In the next series, we expect to see Fallout’s most iconic location, New Vegas, and its most iconic beasts, Deathclaws.
Most OG Fallout fans weren’t expecting much from the Prime Video TV show, having already seen how the company dealt with some other iconic franchises (yes, Rings of Power, we’re looking at you). But as soon as the new series premiered, all the naysayers united with the optimists in a blissful delight for Fallout turned out to be exactly what it was supposed to be: the same world, just in a different format.
Prime Video’s Fallout turned out to be so great that now, merely a week after Season 1’s release, we already have great news: the show has been renewed for Season 2!
Fallout Gets a Season 2 Already
It’s safe to say that Fallout is safe and sound to keep going. According to Deadline, the new post-apocalyptic series has already been renewed for Season 2 thanks to its sky-high viewership, popularity, and scores on various platforms. The Fallout team is eager to continue working on their show, and fans are eager to get more of it.
“Holy sh*t. Thank you to Jonah, Kilter, Bethesda, and Amazon for having the courage to make a show that gravely tackles all of society’s most serious problems these days — cannibalism, incest, jello cake. More to come!” The showrunners said.
What we know about Season 2 so far is more than enough to get us excited, too.
Fallout Season 2 Will Be Iconic
We don’t mean in it a fanboy kind of way, strictly facts: from what we’ve gathered so far, the second season of Prime Video’s new show will feature some of Fallout’s most iconic attributes, including locations and enemies that are dear to every video games’ fan’s heart. They weren’t there in Season 1, so the anticipation is strong!
Jonathan Nolan previously stated he wanted to visit a “very particular locale” in Season 2, and seeing what we saw in the final shots of S1, we’re going to New Vegas. As if that wasn’t enough, Graham Wagner also promised to finally show us a living Deathclaw, the most legendary beast in the Fallout universe, in Season 2 — which makes sense since there are quite a few of them not far from New Vegas.
