Huge Fallout Season 2 Update: What's Planned for It?
Prime Video’s latest show’s only been out for a week but we already know what to expect from Season 2.
Summary:
- Fallout Season 2 hasn’t been greenlit yet, but the show’s creators already have huge plans for it.
- Jonathan Nolan hinted at visiting a “particular locale” in S2, and judging by S1’s final shots, it will be New Vegas.
- Graham Wagner revealed that, while they wanted to include Deathclaws in the premiere series, they decided to save them for S2.
Some TV shows are destined to be instant hits, and Prime Video ’s brand-new Fallout series is one of them. Immediately after release, the show took over fans’ — both old and new — hearts and minds and turned into a cultural phenomenon. People are discussing it non-stop, and those aren’t just the audience, but the creators, as well.
Fallout Season 2 Takes Place You-Know-Where
Despite Fallout the TV Show being barely one week old, its creators have already thought through its second season — and they’re quite happy to chat about it. Thanks to Jonathan Nolan, we can tell where the next series will take place, and boy are we excited!
Fallout Season 2 will take us to the franchise’s most iconic location.
“We have been talking from the beginning about how this [show] would develop and evolve in subsequent seasons, if we should be so lucky. [There is] one locale in particular that is close to my heart that I’d be excited to explore if we got a chance to,” Nolan shared with The Wrap.
If you’re new to the Fallout universe, here’s why this statement sounds so promising to us: in the finale of Season 1, we saw Hank eyeing a cityscape that looked exactly like New Vegas. And New Vegas, in turn, is the most iconic location in the entire franchise, so it would only make sense that Nolan wanted to feature it in the show.
Fallout Season 2 Will Feature You-Know-Who
Another issue addressed by the Fallout TV show’s creators in the interview were the Wasteland’s monstrosities. We sure did see quite a few of them in the first season, but there’s one terrifying beast in particular that has avoided the spotlight so far.
“We wanted to get Deathclaws, but we didn’t want to just throw it away. It’s such a monumental piece. We want to save something for Season 2 to be able to do it properly, not just add on to the massive world building we had to do already in Season 1. So in Season 2, we’re very excited to finally tackle one of the most iconic elements of the games,” co-showrunner Graham Wagner explained.
Wagner’s words only strengthen our belief that Season 2 will take us to New Vegas as its outskirts famously house an entire colony of Deathclaws. It sure looks like the next series will bring the most iconic pieces of the franchise together, and we can barely contain our excitement… The only thing left is for Prime Video to renew Fallout for Season 2, and we’ll be off.
