Every Young Hero Introduced to the MCU Poised to Be Next Avenger
Is Marvel getting ready for the Young Avengers?
Have you noticed how the Marvel Cinematic Universe keeps growing and bringing in new fresh-faced heroes to pick up the Avengers' mantle? With so many young heroes being introduced, we can assume Marvel is preparing us for the Young Avengers.
In the comics, the Young Avengers are a group of teenagers who band together to fill the void left by the disbanding of the original Avengers. Incorporating the young team into the MCU could open up a whole new range of storytelling possibilities.
The MCU has already started planting the seeds for the Young Avengers with the introduction of young characters. Let’s take a moment to remember all the young heroes introduced so far.
Kate Bishop
Kate Bishop is a skilled archer who made her debut in the Hawkeye series. Trained by Clint Barton, she's ready to take on any challenge that comes her way.
Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, a huge fan of superheroes, especially Captain Marvel, is a teenager with polymorphous powers. She is making a comeback in the upcoming The Marvels.
America Chavez
America Chavez is a young Latina superhero whose powers include superhuman strength, speed, and durability, as well as the ability to fly and open star-shaped portals between dimensions.
Cassie Lang
The daughter of Scott Lang (Ant-Man), is also on the list. Known as Stature in the comics, she has the ability to change her size.
Ironheart, or Riri Williams, is a genius inventor who created her own suit of armor. She appeared in the Black Panther sequel and is set to return in the upcoming series Ironheart.
Billy and Tommy Maximoff
The twins Billy and Tommy Maximoff were introduced in WandaVision. Their powers resemble their mother, Wanda Maximoff, and their uncle, Pietro.
Eli Bradley
The grandson of Isaiah Bradley (the first Black Captain America ), made his first appearance in "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier." He's known as Patriot in the comics.
Skaar
Skaar, the son of Hulk, was introduced in the ending of Disney Plus’ She-Hulk. He was born on Sakaar when Hulk was there (Thor: Ragnarok).
