1. Oliver Reed
During his long career, the actor managed to star in more than 100 films. His legacy remains in Treasure Island, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and the legendary Oliver, which won 5 Oscars in 1969.
Reed's last role was in one of Ridley Scott 's most important films, Gladiator, where he played Proximo, a former arena warrior turned slave trader.
The movie became a sensation and the biggest release of the year, but unfortunately the actor died during filming. Scott had to come up with CGI where he could modify the face of the character, but the technology was not that advanced in the early 00s, so the director used doubles.
This was the only way to finish the movie in time and to pay tribute to the great Oliver Reed, whose acting was the undeniable asset of Gladiator.
2. Albert Finney
Albert Finney was nominated for an Oscar 5 times, but he never managed to win. This did not stop the actor from appearing in the movies of Tim Burton, Steven Soderbergh and Ridley Scott.
The actor took on his last role in 2012, when Skyfall hit the screens. It was one of the most successful blockbusters about the British spy, James Bond ( also known as 007).
Finney, known for his versatility and impeccable acting skills, portrayed a woodsman named Kincade, who took care of James Bond's family estate in Scotland.
In the final sequence of the movie, 007 and Kincade, battled a formidable and terrifying villain who wanted to wipe British intelligence off the face of the earth.
3. Fred Gwynne
During his 30-year career, the actor managed to appear in Pet Semetery, based on the Stephen King novel, excelled in the iconic Fatal Attraction with Michael Douglas, and left his mark in the groundbreaking drama Ironweed, starring Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep.
The actor's most recent role was in the comedy My Cousin Vinny, where Gwynn played the passionate Judge Chamberlain Haller, who presided over a hilarious trial.
The actor's impeccable comedic talent made him the film's leading man.
