Fans have been saying they would have liked Enver Gjokaj to have stayed around for longer, and it looks like his character is coming back after all.

Get ready, NCIS: Hawai'i fans! It's time to break out the leis and hula skirts, because the one and only Enver Gjokaj is making his long-awaited return to the show. That's right, Captain Joe is finally coming back to the island, and we couldn't be more excited.

According to Vanessa Lachey, Gjokaj will be "pinned for the future" on the show, though no specifics have been announced. This marks the first time Gjokaj has appeared on the show since the Season 1 finale, much to the delight of fans everywhere.

"I was just texting [Enver]… and I will say that he is 'pinned for the future.' We don't have specifics, but yes, he is coming back to the island," Vanessa revealed to TV Line.

"I've been waiting for this moment for what feels like forever," said one of the NCIS: Hawai'i fans on Reddit, with others agreeing wholeheartedly. "I can't wait to see Enver back in action!"

Fans can catch the next episode of NCIS: Hawai'i, entitled "Deep Fake," on January 9, 2023. The show follows the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor, Jane Tennant, and her team as they investigate high-stakes crimes and navigate the complex world of military personnel and national security in sunny Hawai'i.
