Emilia Clarke’s Advice For Young Actors

Although a career in the entertainment industry can be hard to build, there are many perks that come with it. TV celebrities, finally recognized on the same level as film actors, have a lot of influence through social media, access to the press, many important contacts, and brand deals that you could only dream of.

But it can also be demanding. So demanding, in fact, that when asked by Harper's Bazaar UK for her advice to aspiring actors, Clarke couldn't think of anything to say other than, "Are you sure?”

“There’s so much joy, and there’s so much love, and there are so many amazing things to be found in the industry, and I’ve had some of the best moments of my life doing it, but I’ve had some of the worst. And you’ve got to be there for the worst, and you’ve got to ride through the worst to get to the best,” she said.

Brutally honest as always, the actress also mentioned that most of acting consists of being unemployed for long periods of time, so if there's a chance for anyone to find happiness outside of the industry, she'd suggest trying that instead. Not for lack of talent, but for a better chance at a comfortable life.
