Elsbeth Star Wants This The Good Wife Cameo Just As Much As You Do

CBS’ big hit police procedural drama show Elsbeth is wrapping up its first season run, but isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Coming as an unofficial The Good Wife ’s spinoff, Elsbeth owes its renewal for yet another season to its compelling plot and some past connections to the 2009 political drama starring Julianna Margulies.

As the show still has its television run and keeps teasing the grand finale, Elsbeth’s main star opened up about one guest star that she would like to have on the show’s set. Fair to say that the actress’ desire coincides with the one of quite a lot of fans across the world.

Talking about the show’s finale at CBS’ fall schedule reveal party last week, Elsbeth Tascioni’s actress Carrie Preston revealed that “it would be really cool” to have Julianna Margulies as a guest star in the show’s next season.

Margulies was the leading actress in the political drama show The Good Wife that eventually gave Elsbeth’s story an opportunity to turn into another series.

As the actress put it, Preston’s Elsbeth and Margulies’ Alicia Florrick “had such a fun friendship” at the time of The Good Wife’s run on TV from 2009 to 2016. She later on suggested that Alicia might have had some kind of advice for Elsbeth that she could give should she indeed be a guest star on the show.

Regarding the already existing episodes and the stars with recurring roles in them, Elsbeth’s Carra Patterson, who in the show portrays Officer Kaya Blanke, teased “a lot of twists and turns and a lot of revelations that are going to come to the light”.

She then added that the upcoming finale will also feature “some amazing guest stars, André De Shields and Laura Benanti, and some fun fashion”.

Elsbeth’s season 1 final episode titled A Fitting Finale is set to be released on May 23.
