Eddie Munson Returns: Stranger Things Brings Fan Favorite Character Back in New Project 

Every season of Stranger Things brings something new to the show's main storyline, and the latest one is no exception. Fans consider the introduction of Eddie Munson to be the most memorable thing about chapter four. The complicated and chaotic nerd freak of Hawkins High was brilliantly played by Joseph Quinn.

Eddie joined the show for a single season, made life a little more difficult for the main gang, stole every fan's heart, and became the most popular character of the year.

“He was also funny, empathetic, and truly cared about the people that cared about him. He was also being hunted for crimes he didn't do. Overall, that makes for a compelling character. And, to be fair, he was more interesting than 75% of the characters this season. The story surrounding him is what kept me glued to the series,” Redditor Nerdfatha said.

However, the Master of Puppets died at the end of the season, leaving fans wondering if he will ever return to the show. While there's no indication of that happening in the main series, we do have some good news: Eddie Munson is about to get an entire novel of his backstory thanks to Caitlin Schneiderhan's Stranger Things: Flight of Icarus.

In her new book, the author takes fans back to the time when Eddie was just on his way to becoming the iconic character we meet in the series. We'll learn about his toughest times and the most important decisions he ever made.

While the story focuses primarily on Eddie, there are plenty of other important characters, both from the Stranger Things universe and from out of nowhere. For example, there are some of his Hellfire buddies. But more importantly, we finally get to see his father, Al Munson.

There are also some love stories added to the book. We meet Ronnie, Eddie's best friend. At first he thought she was his "the one," but later it was established that their relationship is platonic and they are just very close friends. There's also Paige, a less platonic friend who has a lot of influence on his life decisions.

The book is written from Eddie's point of view, and that only brings us closer to the character and makes his death in Stranger Things season 4 even harder to accept. But the real horror, kids, is the fact that we have to wait until Halloween, October 31, before the book finally hits shelves.
