Is he really stronger, smarter or better?

The finale of Season 4 is already out, but it’s still a mystery how The Boys ’ leading characters will end up. While we won’t be able to see the fifth and final season anytime soon, the original comic books can give us some insight on the fates of our favorite leads.

Antony Starr ’s Homelander still seems to be the biggest evil of the show, yet still the most ridiculous Supe of the series, his possible ending is a big, big question for all of us. Though, the comics have already decided what kind of finale he deserves.

Warning: Spoilers for The Boys comics ahead!

Homelander Gets the Ending He Really Deserves in the Comics

Just like in the show, the Oval Office is under Homelander’s control as a result of his grand coup. However, one day the badass supe arrives there to find a bunch of photographic evidence of him committing extremely wild crimes.

Homelander goes mad seeing them, but he goes even madder when Black Noir suddenly emerges and reveals himself as his clone. The truth is that the latter performed all the crimes from those pictures dressed as Homelander to frame him before Vought.

The supe starts losing control and any connection to reality, as he could actually do it all himself and simply forget about it due to his recklessness and lack of empathy.

At this very moment he and his clone get into a gruesome fight, and it is Black Noir who wins, willingly ripping Homelander and his organs apart from the inside.

The villain is not given an epic death here, as such an ending is in fact what he deserves, as he’s not a superhero, but rather an immature super-coward whose ass should have been kicked in a manner like Black Noir does in the comics.

How Can Homelander End Up on the Show?

The most likely ending of the show’s Homelander is that he will eventually be eliminated by Butcher, driven by the idea that all supes are the problem and that his longtime rival is the main source of it.

Besides, let’s not forget about Ryan, Homelander’s biological son and a natural-born supe, who can actually be much stronger than anyone in the show if he fully masters his abilities. It’d be quite epic if he kills the one who fathered him.

While we’re now far from learning how Eric Kripke will kill off Homelander, you can check out The Boys Season 4 that is now available to stream on Prime.
