Having to wait two weeks for a new Blue Bloods episode leaves fans less than thrilled.

While the Reagan family continues to gather around their Sunday dinner table week after week, the same can't be said for their fans, who had to find another show to watch two Friday nights in a row this month.

For some unexplained reason, CBS decided to put a two-week hiatus between Episodes 13 and 14 of Season 13 currently airing on the network. While the 13th episode aired on February 10th, the next one called Collision Course will be released on March 3rd. The news came out of the blue and frustrated many dedicated viewers.

On February 17th, fans were disappointed to learn that instead of a new episode, the network would be re-airing an episode from Season 12. And last week, the usual Blue Bloods slot was taken by the new CBS show Fire County, which follows a young convict who volunteers for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection in order to reduce his prison sentence.

Blue Bloods fans are less than enthusiastic about these changes in the programming. Many feel that by forcing unexpected hiatuses on beloved shows, networks are manipulating viewers into paying more and watching projects they are not interested in.

"All this pre-emptying time slots of our regular shows, show the fans that the networks are really just playing us. I pay a pretty good monthly amount to watch and support these shows and many nights the TV is off, because of the stuff the networks think we should watch," a fan commented under the news of the Blue Bloods hiatus.

It doesn't help that while CBS has renewed most of its procedurals, including Fire County, the new season of Blue Bloods is still in question. Reportedly, the network and the show's cast and crew are in active negotiations over budget cuts, but fans still don't understand why the flagship show is getting such treatment.

It seems that since the story of the Reagan family brings in money and viewers, CBS should be catering to its every need, but for some reason, fans don't feel that's the case.

Well, at least the cast remains loyal to their fanbase, regularly posting updates about new episodes on social media and saying in more than one interview that they would be willing to stay for more seasons.
