The Entertainment District Arc Season 2 of Demon Slayer finished more than a year ago and it's finally time for the season 3 return – The Swordsmith Village Arc.

Demon Slayer first hit screens in May 2022, bringing viewers some of the most spectacular battles in anime. The audience immediately fell in love with a new story about demons and their hunters.

The dynamic presentation of the plot, beautiful battles, high-quality music and amazing landscapes are what immediately catch your eye when watching anime.

The first season was extremely well received by viewers around the world, which was a guarantee for the second season. It became clear that there would be a third season when the same thing happened to the second one.

And we're ready to share with you all of the details that are known about the third season.

As fans will recall, season 2 ended with Tanjiro breaking his blade and now he's going to visit the Swordsmith Village to fix it.

Along the way, the heroes will encounter new adventures and hordes of demons, including some of the most dangerous. Nearly all characters from previous seasons return, and fans can expect new characters as well.

It should be noted that the original manga was completed in 2020, so if you're itching to know the names of new characters or plot details, you can read them there (but we advise you to wait for the anime).

It was recently announced that the official release date of the anime in Japan is April 9, 2023. Another good news for fans is that the first episode of the new season will be an hour long instead of the usual 22 minutes.

So be sure to stock up on plenty of popcorn!

However, the creators of the anime have prepared a gift for those who can't wait to see the new season.

On March 3rd, one month before the official premiere of the series on TV, there will be a theatrical screening of episodes 10 and 11 of season 2 and the first one-hour episode of season 3.

In the meantime, you can enjoy the recently released trailer.
