Harry Potter’s cinematic history may be over for more than 10 years now, but for many of its actors the franchise became such a significant part of life that they will probably never stop reminiscing about those times.
As the famous wizard story keeps unveiling its behind-the-scenes secrets, one of the actors has reflected on a particular deleted scene that he wishes could’ve ended up being in the movie.
While talking to E! News, Tom Felton, who rose to wild prominence thanks to his role of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter’s film series, revealed that there was one deleted scene where he shared the screen with his “dad” Lucius Malfoy, portrayed by Jason Isaacs.
According to the actor, the second film, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, could’ve shown Draco accompanied by his father in the dark magic shop Borgin and Burkes, located in the famous Knockturn Alley, as Lucius icily warns his son from touching nothing in there.
The scene that was eventually removed from the movie’s run (but, luckily for fans, can still be found on the extended versions of the film) could’ve been a really good opportunity to feature an absolutely different introduction of Isaacs’s character that would prove how terrible of a father he really is since the very beginning.
However, despite their on-screen tense and even hostile relationships, Felton and Isaacs’s friendship is nothing like what everyone saw in the movies. Felton even made a very sweet tribute to his colleague by saying that he still calls Isaacs dad after more than ten years since the last film was released.
The actor also admitted that over the time of their work together Jason Isaacs had become his closest friend and mentor that he’s still happy to have in his life — something that the Malfoys would be definitely jealous of.
