Dawson's Creek Reunion Will Happen, But There's a Catch
Prepare yourself for a nostalgic blast from the past!
ATX TV Festival has recently added a 25th anniversary screening of Dawson's Creek and confirmed panelists will include writers/producers Liz Tigelaar, Rina Mimoun, Gina Fattore, Anna Fricke, Maggie Friedman, and moderator Julie Plec.
This means two things: yes, Dawson's Creek team is back together, and no, not for a reboot.
In the late '90s and early 2000s, Dawson's Creek was a cultural phenomenon, captivating audiences across the globe with its relatable, and sometimes even groundbreaking, storylines and memorable characters.
The reunion panelists have worked on a variety of successful TV shows over the years that passed since Dawson's Creek series finale.
Julie Plec, for example, has served as the showrunner for popular series like The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
Liz Tigelaar, Rina Mimoun, Gina Fattore, Anna Fricke, and Maggie Friedman have also been involved in a variety of critically acclaimed shows.
But it is obvious the ATX TV festival this year will be all about nostalgia and reminiscing on all things Dawson's Creek.
Aside from the panel, fans can also look forward to premiere screenings, Q&As, and other events during the four-day festival.
ATX TV festival will take place in Austin, Texas, from June 1-4. Dawson's Creek fans probably wouldn't want to miss the event.
The announcement of the Dawson's Creek TV show reunion at the ATX TV Festival is only a bittersweet cause for celebration for fans of the iconic show.
The event will provide a trip down memory lane, allowing fans to relive what has made Dawson's Creek such an integral part of '90s pop culture.
Although, as cult shows of the last couple of decades gradually become a thing of the past, such reunion-like events, as exciting as they truly are, bring along bittersweet nostalgia that stays to linger.
Is it bad thing? Not so much; after all, didn't we enjoy those Harry Potter and Friends anniversary reunions?
Now that June is approaching, Dawson's Creek fans better have tissues at the ready. We feel you.
