Kevin Costner is beginning to piss off a lot of people on the set of Yellowstone. The schedule of the Hollywood heavyweight is apparently eroding into the mindset of his fellow Yellowstone co-stars, and it hasn't been sitting well with many of them.

Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) is reportedly among the co-stars disgruntled with how Costner is handling his dispute with showrunner Taylor Sheridan and Paramount Network.

According to Puck, Costner's ego is getting in the way of the most popular show on television. He's narrowed his availability for shooting the remaining of season five of Yellowstone, leading many to believe he is searching for an exit. Season five has deteriorated and is stalled in the middle of episodes set to return this summer.

However, numerous reports have recently claimed that Costner is ready to depart from Yellowstone in order to pursue his own projects. The 68-year-old actor is working on his own western film and thus wants to limit the amount of time for Yellowstone. The schedule conflicts with Sheridan, who has reportedly been feuding with the star since shooting for season five began.

Costner, who tested positive for COVID early in the production of season five, refused to adjust his schedule in light of the days he missed because of the illness. Accordingly, the rest of the Yellowstone cast and crew had to conform their own schedules to meet the timeframe Costner was willing to shoot scenes. Now, co-stars like Hauser are getting sick of the on-set drama.

The same could be true for Paramount, which may be preparing for an alternative should Costner decide to leave Yellowstone. It's been reported that Matthew McConaughey is negotiating with Paramount as a replacement for Costner. In fact, Sheridan hasn't also dismissed the possibility of yet another Yellowstone spin-off, this time featuring none other than McConaughey.

Is Yellowstone finally over?

For now, Costner has been keeping silent and allowed his attorney to do the talking. Marty Singer, one of his lawyers, claims the rumors are "ridiculous" and an "absolute lie". Furthermore, Paramount has issued a press release indicating they have no desire to remove Costner from Yellowstone.

Still, we hate to learn that the actor may be feuding with fellow co-stars. In the past, Yellowstone cast members have applauded the Dances With Wolves star for his professionalism and on-set guidance.

In the end, the decision is up to Costner. He's committed five seasons (and more in years) to Yellowstone. The last season has labored, and perhaps Costner is the first to spot a dumpster fire.
