Sometimes being comic accurate doesn't work for movies.

On Monday, Marvel dropped the first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, bringin back Paul Rudd 's Scott Land a.k.a. Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne a.k.a. the Wasp.

While Scott Lang looks just like our good old Scott Lang, the Wasp appears to don a new haircut. In an apparent nod to her comic look, van Dyne rocks short hair now, as well as a new yellow-and-purple suit.

However, people seem to have mixed feelings about that. The thing is, van Dyne now looks... "peak Karen", as fans put it.

If you are blissfully unaware of what "Karen" means, it is some sort of a meme essence of an entitled white woman who loves complaining and "calling the manager". Van Dyne is not exactly like that as a character... except she now looks like it.

Some fans noted that the new look is "kinda fitting considering what we know of Evangeline [Lilly]", apparently hinting at the actress' controversial stance on vaccines.

However, other people appeared to enjoy the new haircut, claiming that the Internet would call any woman who rocks a similar style a "Karen". But it never stopped Marvel fans from joking about how the Wasp is going to "want to speak to Kang's manager".

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is going to focus on the two superheroes' journey in the quantum realm and their apparent stand-off with Kang the Conqueror — the MCU 's new big bad guy. Fans have already anointed Kang as the new best villain in Marvel, discarding the Infinity Saga's Thanos pretty quickly.

The Ant-Man sequel will hit the theaters on February 17, 2023.
