Chicago Fire Will Lose Another Important Character After Season 12
Maybe this will end the streak?
When you stay with one show long enough, all the characters start feeling like your own friends, enemies, even family. you’ ve been together through their many ups and downs and were rooting for whatever they wanted in life.
So it’s only natural to feel sad or angry when finding out some of your beloved characters will never appear in the show anymore. And needless to say Chicago Fire fans went through a pretty nervous path with the show’s latest casting changes. And apparently there’s more coming.
Deadline discovered that the show’s regular, Eamonn Walker, who was playing boss Wallace Boden from episode 1 season 1 is leaving his current position in the show. For 12 seasons the fans were seeing him make tough decisions and try to be reasonable in all sorts of unimaginable situations.
The important thing though is that it seemed to be Walker’s own decision to step down, but it doesn't mean that Boden’s character will be gone for good. Everything will be well with the man, but he will only appear occasionally in the show’s season 13 when it comes.
However, it seems like the fans didn’t like the news anyway.
“NO! Boden Can't Leave! It seems like all of the OG Cast is almost all gone now, I Know Severide, Mouch, Hermann, Tony and Cap are there but Severide is barely in the show anymore. Boden is the BEST Battalion Chief and I Refuse to believe he's leaving!” Redditor Khalesssi_Slayer1 said.
Seems like the show’s creators are already preparing the fans for Walker’s departure, as in recent episodes he has been off “taking care of a family issue”. But we will only learn the true reasons for Boden's departure in season’s finale which will air on NBC on May 22.
