Chicago Fire Star Just Accidentally Confirmed How Season 12 Cliffhanger Will Play Out
The very first season 13 spoilers are already here.
Although season 12 of Chicago Fire was a relatively happy one, with no deaths haunting the Firehouse 51, there were a few moments that made viewers shed a tear or two.
They had to say goodbye to Alberto Rosende's Blake Gallo, Kara Killmer's Sylvie Brett and Eamonn Walker 's Chief Boden, who will be returning but won't be a constant presence on the show. The season 12 finale also left viewers worried about another character, Jake Lockett's Sam Carver. However, this may have been a false alarm.
What Happened to Sam Carver on Chicago Fire?
At the end of Chicago Fire's 12th season, Sam Carver was left alone, taking another leave of absence from work and not answering his phone. After a traumatic domestic violence call that reminded Carver of his own past, he argued with Violet and ended up blurting out a confession of love that could change everything between them.
While some fans were worried about whether they'd see Carver back at Firehouse 51, the first videos from the season 13 set prove that he'll be back at work at some point.
The video, posted to her Instagram story by Miranda Mayo, who plays Stella Kidd on the show, shows Jake Lockett goofing around in his firefighter gear with co-star Hanako Greensmith. Hopefully, this means that Carver and Violet will somehow reconcile in season 13, but we'll have to wait until it comes out to know for sure.
Chicago Fire Season 13 Release Date
The new video not only hints at Jake Lockett's comeback to the Chicago Fire set, but also at a general return of the cast to film the show. Season 13, which was announced by NBC last spring, is set to return on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, so it only makes sense that the cast and crew are already working on the very first episodes.
