Chicago Fire Newcomer Only Needed 2 Episodes For Fans to Despise Her
While the show has had its share of despicable characters, this obnoxious woman earned the hatred of fans in record time.
Summary:
- The new 12th season of Chicago Fire introduced fans to a number of new characters
- However, one of them has every chance of joining the ranks of the most hated characters in the show's history
- The new paramedic field chief turned out to be absolutely insufferable due to a strange grudge against Violet `
Over the many years that Chicago Fire has been on the air, the long-running TV series has introduced viewers to a wide variety of characters, many of whom eventually left the show only to be replaced by new faces.
Some of them captured the hearts of fans instantly, others took a little more time to earn their love, but as the series progressed, many of them became fan favorites and will always be remembered fondly, even if they are no longer a part of the project.
However, this wasn't the case for everyone, as while some characters basked in the fans' affection, others became hated for a variety of reasons, ranging from being extremely annoying to simply not being good people.
The New Paramedic Field Chief Is Just the Worst
The latter is especially true for the paramedic Field Chief Robinson, portrayed by Laura Allen, as even though she only appeared in two episodes so far, that was more than enough for fans to absolutely despise her.
Her obnoxious attitude towards Violet Mikami, portrayed by Hanako Greensmith, has even made some fans of the show deeply uncomfortable, as they can relate to having such an insufferable boss.
However, it remains unclear what made Robinson so hostile towards Violet that she acted so unprofessionally.
She clearly tried to intimidate her subordinate by first listening to her talk about potential partners, only to rudely interrupt Violet and declare that she will be the one to make the decision, flexing her authority in Mikami's face.
Fans Believe There’s a Reason for Her Nasty Behavior
Fans have come up with a number of possible explanations, believing that the reason for this is much more complex than blatant racism or her just being a nasty person.
Some think that she may be aware of Violet's relationship with her predecessor, Evan Hawkins, who was in love with Mikami but tragically gave up his own life saving a victim of the Pickwick Theatre fire, and for some reason hates her for it.
It is also within the realm of possibility that Robinson is somehow related to Emma Jacobs, portrayed by Caitlin Carver, who had (and probably still has) a severe grudge against Violet.
Hopefully, fans will get the answers they want soon enough, as the show's 12th season is only halfway through, with episode 7 premiering on March 20, 2024.
