Even though the movies had many deviations from the book, fans were able to find more than one such character.

Harry Potter is one of the biggest franchises in the history of the world. And like all franchises, the story of the Chosen One's confrontation with Voldemort has a devoted fan base that is very reverent of the literary source material.

And while The Philosopher's Stone and The Chamber of Secrets were very similar to J.K. Rowling's books, The Prisoner of Azkaban began to diverge more and more from the author's works. So fans decided to pick the characters that best fit their literary counterparts.

And of course, admirers of the universe could not ignore the evil Dolores Umbridge, played flawlessly by Imelda Staunton. The Ministry of Magic employee was known for her sweet-talking and cruel methods of controlling Hogwarts. The actress portrayed Umbridge with chilling accuracy, conveying the heroine's manipulative and sadistic nature.

Her ability to move seamlessly from cuteness to malice is one of the reasons the role of Umbridge is so accurate. One moment she's smiling and complimenting, the next she's punishing unsuspecting students.

Some also mention Severus Snape, played by the wonderful Alan Rickman. From cold and distant to tense and thoughtful, Rickman perfectly captures this complex and mysterious character. And even though Snape was several decades removed from his literary counterpart, Rickman managed to evoke the spirit of the source material.

But it was Hagrid, portrayed by Robbie Coltrane, who best conveyed Rowling's vision. The cute half-giant with a heart of gold perfectly nailed the core of the character as described in the author's books. The film managed to bring all of Hagrid's traits to life, from his loud voice to his gentle nature.

One of the reasons Hagrid was so accurate in the movie is his appearance. Standing over 8 feet tall, with a wild mane of hair and a bushy beard, the giant was an imposing figure.

Coltrane showcased Hagrid's kindness and unwavering loyalty. Whether caring for magical creatures or protecting his friends, the giant's love and compassion were evident in every scene. The actor's ability to portray these qualities made the Hogwarts gamekeeper one of the most beloved characters in movies and books.
