It’s not the first time when fans’ delight gives a series a second life.

Netflix ’s audience keeps bringing more of the streaming’s hidden gems back to light, and now a 2020 show is suddenly in everyone’s watchlist once again.

Canceled back in 2023, a crime drama series Your Honor starring Bryan Cranston is an object of everyone’s talk now that some of the viewers shared their raving reaction regarding the show’s discovery. Ironically, Your Honor has already been repeatedly saved by its fans who back in the day just didn’t want to let it all go.

What Is Your Honor About?

Initially launched in 2020, Your Honor follows Michael Desiato, a prominent and respected judge carrying out his duties in New Orleans. Michael’s seemingly peaceful and happy life suddenly goes in a very wrong direction when his teenage son Adam accidentally kills another teenager.

As the ultimate arbiter of justice, Michael decides to persuade his son to confess and turn himself in to the police, but the plan abruptly changes when Michael finds out that the killed boy was a local mafia boss’ son. Eventually opting to protect Adam till the very end, Michael finds himself in a tangled web of lies and tricky dangerous games that are likely to have some tragic consequences.

Conceived as a miniseries, Your Honor was never supposed to get more than one season, until delighted fans came along. Viewers were just blown away by how well the show handled its complicated mystery, and the creators eventually couldn’t ignore numerous demands about the series’ renewal.

Exceptionally, Your Honor got a second season that was released in 2023, but was later officially scrapped. To-date, the show holds relatively good scores on Rotten Tomatoes, garnering 50% and 69% from critics and viewers for season 1 and 67% and 64% for season 2.

Nearly a year after its definite cancellation, Your Honor is once again getting all the attention from Netflix viewers who claim they’ve been binge-watching the series with no desire to stop.

Some stated that the show’s star, Bryan Cranston, was the key to its overall success while others praised Your Honor’s compelling storyline, full of everything that any crime series needs for everyone’s attention.

Both seasons of Your Honor can be checked out on Netflix.
