Brooklyn Nine-Nine Salaries: Here's How Much the Cast Earned per Episode
Nine-Nine!
After ending its eight-season run in 2021, the beloved sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine lives on in the hearts of fans. Although it never reached the dizzying heights of, say, Friends, the series gained millions of followers for its eccentric characters, hilarious gags, and good heart.
But enough about that – let’s gossip about money!
How Much Did the Cast Make?
We don’t have confirmed numbers for all of Brooklyn 99’s paycheques, but thanks to CelebrityNetWorth we can fill in some of the blanks with unsubstantiated guesstimates. Let’s do this!
Andy Samberg (Jake Peralta)
Brooklyn 99 is an ensemble show, but there’s no doubt that Andy Samberg is the heart of it. The SNL alum stars as lovable disaster Jake Peralta, an excellent detective with questionable adulting skills. (Remember the mail tub? Or the “breakfast burrito” made of gummy worms?)
Samberg didn’t just star on the show: he also worked as one of its producers. He was the highest-paid actor on the series – due in part to his fame – at an estimated $125,000 per episode. Although several sources confirm this number, it’s likely that the star wasn’t earning that much when the series began.
Fun Fact: Samberg almost passed on the role!
Andre Braugher (Raymond Holt)
Although he was a classically trained actor – he trained at Juilliard – Braugher didn’t become a household name until he personified the 99’s “robot captain”. His presence on the show represented a completely unique comic character, one which never stopped being funny even after eight years.
Braugher’s skill and popularity with fans meant that when the series wrapped he was its second-highest paid actor, at $100,000 per episode.
To the dismay of fans, Andre Braugher passed away on December 11, 2023.
Fun Fact: In 1997, Braugher was named as one of People magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People in the World.
Joe Lo Truglio (Charles Boyle)
Jake’s best friend Charles is a food blogger, a “papa”, and a man who is weirdly enthusiastic about everything (especially his tight-knit, bizarre family). Charles was played by former animator Joe Lo Truglio, who made an estimated $80,000 per episode.
Fun Fact: Lo Truglio did animation work for the show The State.
Melissa Fumero (Amy Santiago)
We don’t have details about the women’s salaries from Brooklyn 99 – maybe they’re a little more discreet with their paycheques? However, Fumero’s net worth has been estimated to be between $2 and $4 million, so she’s doing okay.
Fumero was a relative unknown before she got cast as Jake’s hyper-uptight partner and love interest. Their chemistry has been off the charts since day one of the series, and even when the will-they-won’t-they dynamic ended with a definite “they will”, their banter and loving competitiveness kept the spark alive.
Fun Fact: Amy Santiago might be a terrible dancer, but Melissa Fumero was a professional dancer and teacher through her twenties.
Dirk Blocker (Michael Hitchcock) & Joel McKinnon Miller (Norm Scully)
Re-watching episodes of Brooklyn 99 will give you lots of extra details, especially if you pay careful attention to whatever Hitchcock and Scully are doing in the background. Throughout the series, Blocker and Miller often showed up for filming with a plan for whatever the slovenly duo would get up to that day – from darning socks to passing papers back and forth with grab sticks.
We know that Miller was paid just under $80,000 per episode by the end of the show, and given the fact that they’re always together it’s a good bet that Blocker was paid about the same.
Fun Fact: Hitchcock and Scully were named after two of the show’s producers.
