Who doesn't like a great transformation story?

This is exactly the kind of story that happened to Brie Larson. The actress had a long journey before she became who she is today.

Let's take a look at the stages she had to go through to become one of the strongest characters in the MCU.

She started out as a child actor struggling to make it in the Hollywood world.

Brie started acting at the age of six, and impressed the teachers at the legendary American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, where she successfully enrolled.

After a while, she began to book roles one after the other.

Even though they were really small ones, and sometimes even commercials, it was still enough to make her way into a career.

She started appearing more on TV, but accidentally became... a teen rock star! She recorded and released her debut album in 2015, which later even became popular.

But her fame began to fade eventually, and as she later admitted, that was for good.

So the acting career took over again. Larson started to play small roles in different movies, not always well received by the critics, but still.

So there was nothing in her filmography that you could point to and say "Wow, I know her from that movie."

Several times she came close to getting big roles, but lost them as well.

But the day came, and after United States of Tara and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, she finally started to get famous.

Needless to say, it didn't take long for Brie Larson to become an indie darling. But like everything else in her career, it didn't last long!

Eventually, her breakthrough mainstream role in Room not only earned her an Oscar, but also put her on the map to the point where she caught the attention of Marvel Studios, securing the role of Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel.

So now, in 2023 she is enjoying her life being full with serious projects like The Marvels, where she is playing the role of Captain Marvel herself.

Aside from the first Captain's solo movie, Brie also had a cameo in Avengers: Endgame and in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Yes, Brie Larson has faced her share of struggles to become a Hollywood force to be counted on, but like her Marvel character, she has always managed to persevere.
