Bridgerton Fans' Worst Fear Confirmed? Set Spoilers Suggest More Drama at the Wedding
Polin fans are worried that Eloise could be the ruin of Penelope and Colin's wedding.
The release date for Bridgerton Season 3 has not yet been officially announced, and the season seems to be still in the filming stage. Meanwhile, eager fans are drooling over and analyzing every bit of behind-the-scenes information that reaches the Internet. The anticipation for the upcoming season seems to be higher than ever. And that is understandable.
The season will focus on everyone's favorite couple, Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, aka Polin.
Viewers have been following their relationship since Season 1, rooting hard for Penelope, who has had a crush on Colin since childhood. But it seems that even if Polin's romantic storyline comes to the marriage stage, viewers won't get a happily ever after, at least not right away.
The new behind-the-scenes video shows that some sort of a shocking twist is planned for the Polin wedding. At least that's what comes to mind when seeing all the extras waiting outside the chapel while some mysterious scene is being filmed inside.
Looks like Edwina and Anthony's Season 2 wedding drama, with the bride walking down the aisle, wasn't enough for the creators, and something may ruin the moment fans have waited three seasons for: Penelope saying "I do" to Colin.
It is not clear what twists the writers have in store for the Polish wedding, but fans are preparing for the worst. So far, only Eloise Bridgerton knows that Penelope is in fact the elusive Lady Whistledown. So it is very possible that Colin's sister will not be able to stand her brother tying the knot with the woman who has been lying to him and will publicly object at the wedding, revealing Penelope's secret.
Such a theory is plausible, but it has some flaws. Since the show is determined to show the growth of both characters in the upcoming season, it seems odd that Penelope would keep her scandalous alter ego a secret from the one person she is supposed to trust.
But if she does, the big reveal at the wedding could serve as an interesting parallel to Season 1, when Penelope stopped Colin from marrying Marina by revealing her secret pregnancy. Such a twist would definitely make for a heartbreaking outcome, one that the huge Polin fanbase has been dreading all along.
