Bridgerton Fans Pray That S3 Won't Repeat This Vital Moment From The Book

There's nothing that excites fans of the show more than the premiere of a new season, especially when it's as long-awaited as Bridgerton season 3. The love story of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton is rumored to hit the screens on December 14, 2023, and with each passing month, the fandom gets more and more excited.

Both book readers and those who got into the story through the Netflix TV series agree that Penelope's reveal as Lady Whistledown would be absolutely crucial to this season. People expect the build-up, suspense, and drama to lead up to that moment but have a lot of opinions on how exactly it should be portrayed.

While in the book Colin manages to solve the mystery of Lady Whistledown on his own, the TV show would benefit from changing things up, fans feel. Whether Penelope keeps her alter ego to herself and continues to write, but in a different way, or decides to drop that part of her life for good, the decision has to be made in a way that doesn't strain her relationship with Colin.

However, knowing Shondaland's love for a bit of angsty drama, there's little to no hope that the reveal will go as smoothly as the fandom hopes.
