Before the beginning of May, when Queen Charlotte was still in post-production and unreleased, there was nothing more exciting for Bridgerton fans than the comeback of the series with Season 3.
While many are still waiting, others have been distracted enough by the spinoff to change their priorities.
Fans had their doubts about Queen Charlotte and its release date. Although it looked promising, judging by all the promotional material, people were more interested in getting Bridgerton back than watching another show.
However, things changed drastically once the show was out.
Whether it was the heartbreaking story, the deeper dive into the backgrounds of beloved characters, or the great acting, Queen Charlotte quickly gained even more fans than some of the OG Bridgerton characters had.
Now the question is, will we ever see India Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest reprise their roles as young Queen Charlotte and Prince George?
Many fans feel that the chemistry between the actors was so good that they must be brought back one way or another.
Although the series was promoted as a limited series and no one expected it to go beyond the original 8 episodes of the first season, fans are now ready to start demanding season 2.
If season 2 would not make sense in the eyes of the producers, then some flashbacks would.
We've seen enough to get hooked, so no one would be mad if young Queen Charlotte and King George appeared in someone's past, even during Bridgerton's long-awaited season 3.
Although Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story was a huge success in its own right, fans are not worried about the fate of Bridgerton's next season.
Not only will it have to compete with season 2 and the story of Kate and Anthony, which stole the hearts of hundreds of fans, but now Queen Charlotte as well.
The only hope they have is that the writers will find a way for Penelope to redeem herself, to make the season just as successful as the previous ones were.
