Bridgerton Fans Have One More Reason To Believe Leaked S3 Release Date To Be True

Bridgerton fans have been speculating about the show's release date for so long that Netflix could've produced it all over again to release it just in time. Although viewers were quite pleased with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which aired on May 4, it still wasn't enough to make everyone forget about season 3 of the original series.

After Netflix's TUDUM event, which recently took place in Brazil, the fandom was surprised with a leak that claimed that season 3 of Bridgerton will be released on December 14, 2023. While some fans believed this to be true, others decided to wait for an official confirmation from either the studio itself or the show's producer, Shonda Rhimes.

Unfortunately, as of today, that has not happened. As the weeks and months passed, Bridgerton fans learned to stay in the dark about the upcoming release date. In the midst of the writers' and actors' strike currently taking place in Los Angeles, the information may take even longer to get out.

However, there is another ray of hope for Bridgerton fans waiting for some kind of announcement. Some of the viewers noticed that other platforms, Moviebase to be more specific, have scheduled the premiere of the series for 16 weeks from now. Exactly the same date that was leaked on TUDUM.

The only thing that makes fans a bit sad about the upcoming premiere, if the speculated date is correct, is the fact that half of the actors won't be able to participate in any promotional events. If the actors are part of SAG AFTRA, they wouldn't be able to participate at all, and if they're part of the UK's Equity, they'd probably skip the promo in solidarity.

Either way, losing the actors for the promo is a bit of a disaster for the show, which focuses so much on specific characters each season. The good thing is that Netflix, as the studio, has all the power to influence the resolution of the strike before Bridgerton season 3 is released.
