You all remember Bridge to Terabithia, of course. Everyone remembers Bridge to Terabithia because it was probably the most painful psychological experience for all children in the 2000s. This movie is the only reason we refuse to ever go back to 2007.
More than 15 years have passed since the release of the movie, and if you were wondering what happened to the main little stars of the project, then we are here for you. Spoiler: they're not little anymore.
Jess Aarons – Josh Hutcherson
Josh Hutcherson, who is now a well-known Hollywood actor, was only 15 years old when he was cast for the role. The young man already had sufficient film experience; he had dreamed of acting since he was four years old, and at nine years old, he had realized his ambition.
But the real success will come in 2012 with the Hunger Games franchise, in which he will play one of the main characters, Peeta. After that, he will star in a number of successful projects – the comedy The Disaster Artist, the TV show Future Man and the horror film Five Nights at Freddy's.
Leslie Burke – AnnaSophia Robb
John's young co-star was AnnaSophia Robb, who made her acting debut in 2004 in an episode of Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh. The actress was 14 years old when Bridge to Terabithia was filmed.
Robb went on to have a successful career. Some of her most popular projects include the drama series Little Fires Everywhere, the biographical drama The Act, and the main role in the Sex and the City prequel series The Carrie Diaries.
May Belle Aarons – Bailee Madison
Bailee Madison played the little sister of Hutcherson's character at the age of eight. Before Bridge to Terabithia, she already had a number of small roles in popular shows like Lonely Hearts, House, M. D. and CSI: NY.
The actress is now 24 years old and, like Josh and AnnaSophia, her career is in full bloom. She starred in the Pretty Little Liars reboot from Max, the horror films Play Dead and The Night Before Halloween, and the well-received show Once Upon a Time, where she played a young Snow White.
