The hit sitcom may be over, but what is Atticus Shaffer doing five years later? Well, still acting (but not only).

Over the course of nine years, The Middle has become a beloved show for many, and Atticus Shaffer portrayed easily one of the best characters on there. He played Brick Heck, a quirky smart kid who can't lie for the death of him.

Since the sitcom ended in 2018, Shaffer has had plenty of voice roles in animated series, including The Lion Guard, Harvey Girls Forever!, and Firebuds.

You might also remember him from one episode of Never Have I Ever. Atticus has done a few animated movies as well.

The actor has had a recurring role on a Christian dramedy show, Adventures in Odyssey, for the past seven years, and he has actually been pretty outspoken about his religious journey, having converted to Christianity when he was 17 years old.

Shaffer is now 24 years old (how time flies!), and we can hardly recognize the cute little guy from The Middle in this bearded fella.

While still acting, Atticus has shifted his career focus to content creation, vlogging, and streaming.

He has official YouTube and Twitch video gaming pages, and he is an avid player of Fortnite, Call of Duty, and The Last of Us among other games. The streamer has over 5,000 followers on Twitch and over 10,000 on YouTube!

In a 2021 interview with Amanda Geffner, Shaffer said that he is determined to expand his web presence and that "making his own network is essentially the goal." He is definitely on the right track!

During one of the Q&As, the actor shared that he wouldn't mind doing a revival of The Middle, but he would only consider it if he was offered a hefty sum.

He added that he didn't see this happening anytime soon and that the question should be revisited in "another 10 years."

While we agree with Atticus that no revival is OK for now, we wouldn't be that surprised if it was announced tomorrow. It's 2023, anything can happen. Well, anything except someone making any original movies or shows, of course.
