Breaking Bad Icon Announces a Break From Acting

Bryan Cranston has had a long and fruitful career, starting in the 1980s and slowly working his way up to become one of Hollywood's top actors.
Over the years, he has appeared in all kinds of movies and TV shows, including titles like Saving Private Ryan (1998), Drive (2011), and Isle of Dogs (2019).
But his most iconic and defining role was, of course, Walter White from the TV series Breaking Bad, which aired for five seasons from 2008 to 2013.
It elevated his career and instantly brought the actor worldwide fame and recognition for his outstanding performance.
However, it seems that Cranston, now 67 years old, has decided to take a break from acting and devote some time to more important things.
In a recent interview with GQ, the actor announced that he is going to take a break from his job for at least six months in 2026 and visit some foreign country, with France being the most appealing choice.
The reason for this seems to be his wife, Robin Dearden, who has been by his side for 24 years and has supported Bryan since their marriage in 1989.
The actor said that after all that dedication on her part, he wants "to level that out" because Robin "deserves it."
Cranston doesn't intend this long vacation to be a full-fledged retirement, as it's just a "pause" for now, with him not thinking about work or taking phone calls.
Fans fully support the actor's decision, with some admitting they didn't realize he was already in his mid-60s.
Others believe that he could easily retire now, considering that his current net worth is estimated at $40 million, and the fact that he intends to return to acting only makes them respect him more.
Bryan Cranston will soon be seen on the big screen in Asteroid City, directed by the legendary Wes Anderson, where he portrays a TV show host.
The film is scheduled for release on June 16, 2023.
