Everything is about timing. Especially when we are talking about comebacks.

Perhaps, The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge returning to the show is a perfect illustration of what we call "bad time."

It seems like a lot has changed since he ran away. And Ridge himself has yet to find out that at least one person wishes he hadn't come back.

Before leaving the town, Ridge took part in a meeting which resulted in his son Thomas' future. He was kicked out of both the Forrester clan and the family company. But since then, everything has gone wrong.

The Hope for the Future line had a very public face-plant on the runway, resulting in bad reviews and a significant loss of money.

Thus the moment for Thomas's rehabilitation came, he was rehired as a lead designer and went on an apology tour.

At the same time, he tried to convince Brooke that he finally changed, now that he had figured out who the source of his problems was. Obviously, daddy issues...

So now that Thomas knows it for sure, it's high time for him to seek revenge.

And the whole "Brooke and the CPS call" play starts, that not only puts the blonde in a bad position, but also breaks his father's heart and makes him fall into Taylors arms.

Well, it seems that Thomas hasn't changed his true personality as much as he claimed...

Still, being rehired as a designer, and that his latest show was a hit, he now realized he has more power than he thought.

Perhaps it will be enough to even tell Ridge (how convenient that he came back) that he is tired of being hired and fired all the time.

And now he plans to not only leave the company but start a new fashion house… and he's taking Hope with him! Of course, if she even wants to come, because things are messy with her too…

It feels like Thomas has a lot on his plate right now. Still, maybe his father's comeback will just be the push he needed all that time? After all, that timing has to have a silver lining.
