Despite Wednesday 's global triumph on Netflix, many Addams Family fans are still underwhelmed by how the first season of Tim Burton's adaptation treated the gothic enfant terrible.

There are many things people still can't get over, from Wednesday's mellowing by the end of the season to that questionable love triangle.

However, hopes are still high for the upcoming second season. With Jenna Ortega now being an executive producer of the show, many fans hope that she will live up to her title of love triangle hater and ditch it in the sequel.

But that is not the only thing people are hoping for.

First things first. Who is Wednesday Addams? It would be a stretch to call her a protagonist in the traditional sense of the word.

This girl is no heroine; if anything, she was the perfect embodiment of an anti-hero, not horrible enough to despise, but just edgy enough to adore.

Well, the Netflix adaptation certainly had to tone down some of the more bizarre treats that she had, apparently in an effort to make her less morally questionable.

With the success of the first season ensuring that season 2 will get the attention it deserves, fans think it's time for bolder choices.
