Benedict Cumberbatch Teases Something Big for Doctor Strange After 'Multiverse of Madness'

Almost everyone thought that 'Multiverse of Madness' is going to be the next 'Endgame' – after all, how can you top all those cameos planned with Peggy Carter returning, Patrick Stewart's Professor X being introduced to the MCU and America Chavez finally gracing our screens? Well, after all, Kevin Feige did tell us at CinemaCon 2022 that Marvel Studio already has plans for the next ten years of the MCU – and it looks like Benedict Cumberbatch 's Doctor Strange is going to be a big part of it.

While everyone's still on the edge of their seat waiting for the 'Multiverse of Madness' theatrical release, Benedict Cumberbatch was asked in an interview with ExtraTV what's next for his character after the events of 'MoM' – and boy did he delivered an answer.

I think it sets him up for a really exciting future as well so the next step is something that is full of anticipation.

Cumberbatch is somewhat famous for dodging spoilers almost as gracefully as Paul Bettany (although no one can top Andrew Garfield these days, that's for sure), so of course his answer was vague enough. The actor did, however, hinted that after the events of 'MoM' his character will surely change enough to be a different person.

I really can’t wait to see what the fan reaction is to this, and where it takes Strange and who he is by the end of the film.

It was rumored that after 'Endgame' and original Avengers departing it's going to be Tom Holland 's Spider Man who will "take a lead" in developing the MCU world – but it seems like the studio considers Doctor Strange a somewhat more safe bet. Something big is awaiting Doctor Strange after he and Wanda survive all the craziness in 'Multiverse of Madness' – and we are so here for it.
